Here you are a Preview of the 2007 Programme for schools The complete programme of the events will be available starting from September on this website! You can find a preview of the most interesting events expressly dedicated to students and teachers: exhbitions and workshops, performing arts and special events, meetings. Schools also have the chance to become Friends of the Festival and host a scientist in their schools, to adopt a conference or twin with a school from another city, thus getting directly involved in the Festival. Exhibitions and workshops LIFE, Frans Lanting's photographic journey through the most attractive places of our Planet, will bring us back to the origins of life. Marvels of Science, a striking interactive journey through the discovery of the structure and the surprising properties of materials. Volcanoes: Explosions and Effusions, an exhibition that will lead us to discover the secrets of eruptions. In order to dwell on environmental and biodiversity protection, the Festival offers the following exhibitions: The Secrets of Life Among Polar Ice and Tomorrow, about global warming, and Mini Darwin that will lead boys and girls to discover evolutionism and Darwin’s travel. All this followed by Matefitness, the very first mathematics gym, which will train us and teach us totally new aspects of the relations between numbers. In the workshop Flavours of Science cooks and scientists will make you discover fascinating interactions between science and cooking. Genoa’s Forensic Police will let boys and girls discover, day by day, what are the secrets of a perfect detective. Thanks to the Fire Brigade it will be possible to understand why it's so important (Not) Playing with Fire. The workshop Avoiding to Waste: Let's Explore the Different Sorts of Energy will show us how important is to know the different sources of energy and to know to use them in an clever way. Robotics fans can enjoy the activities offered by the workshop Let's Play with Robots. And finally, Quick Physics, Physix’n’roll – Phisics of the Sounds and of the Music will transform everybody into perfect Physicians. provetti. > Back to top Spettacoli ed eventi speciali At the Festival of Genoa great scientific topics has always become an inspiration for artistic performances: in 2007 in coherence with its mission -namely dissemination- the Science Festival is going to offer a selection of titles for students of every level, where science stages itself in the name of fun and curiosity You will enjoy Traces – The Show of Physics, a show created by three real scientists to let you know the fascinating world of research; the première of Failure Bars, an ironic text on the destiny of researchers written by Davide Pozzi, an academic researcher and winner of the last CO_scienze, a competition of new scientific playwriting created by Le Nuvole Theatre of Napoli. Class III B is Back presented by the "Teatro della Tosse", an ironic easy-going mise-en-scène about the psychological mechanisms generated in school. There will also be some shows for children, such as The Fantastic Adventure of the Ghostly Band, that will make them playfully discover colour-vision phenomena, and Dr Molecula, a funny show on everyday science produced by the Bloomfield Science Museum of Jerusalem and awarded at the last Wonders European Science Festival. > Back to top Incontri This year the Festival enjoys again the participation of the biggest national and international names of science, with more than 120 meetings open to everybody to discuss the new boundaries of research and science.
